Before you send it
- Send both sides, even when the reverse appears to contain only codes or small print. Make all text legible without enlarging a blurred image.
- Specify the card type and issuing country. A national ID, residence permit and driving licence have different functions and terminology.
- Provide a passport spelling reference and the purpose of the translation. Check whether the recipient needs a copy certified separately from the translation.
From your record to a carefully checked translation.
01 / Share the essentials
Start with the document type, source and target languages, receiving authority and deadline. Odette confirms the scope, fee and timing before you commit. Send only the information needed for your request.
02 / Translate & check
Names, dates, numbers, terminology and notes are checked against the source. Bring any required spellings or format instructions into the conversation before the translation is finalized.
03 / Prepare for submission
Agree the delivery format and whether you need a sworn translation. Odette has been a sworn translator in Lebanon since 2017: for a sworn translation, she certifies its accuracy with her signature and stamp. The recipient decides whether additional certification or legalization is required.
Questions about this document
Can the front of the card be translated on its own?
Send both sides for assessment and the recipient’s instructions. Important conditions, dates or issuing details can appear on the reverse.
How much will this translation cost, and how long will it take?
The fee and timing depend on the language pair, number of pages, legibility, format and deadline. Email Odette with those details for a quote; no fixed price or turnaround is assumed for every document.
Will a sworn translation be accepted everywhere?
Requirements vary by country, authority and procedure. Share the recipient’s instructions before ordering. Lebanese sworn status does not automatically replace a locally required certification, notarization or legalization.
